Happy Smoking Ban Day!

Am I the only person in Iowa who is ecstatic about the state-wide smoking ban taking effect today? Probably not, but it seems like it because every article in the papers of late are only filled with the opinions of the smokers and how 'unfair' this ban is and how it infringes up their rights. Well smokers, welcome to the start of my rights.
Second hand smoke is a PUBLIC HEALTH issue and that is that. I believe everyone has the right to clean, fresh air in public places and these include bars and restaurants. Why should public health as a whole be at risk for the consequences of second hand smoke (3rd leading cause of PREVENTABLE death in the US) just because someone wants to light up and slowly kill themselves while the rest of us are trying to enjoy a drink or meal? So needless to say I'm a little bit opinionated when it come to this issue. What do you think?

I know J, it doesn't. BUT that is what makes me and my views so gosh darn interesting! And like we've discussed before it just re-inforces why there is a need for a more representative political party-one that merges your & my opinions might just be perfect!

I am the merger of Jason and Laura. I am the middle child. I solve conflicts and I see both sides. I was the one who helped Laura down from the swing set when Jason tied her up in a leg sling. I was the one who defended Jason when Laura accused him of punching her much harder than he did. Finally, you both understand what it means to be neutral, independent, empathetic to all.

Butt (cigarette) to get back on topic: yay! I'm so excited about the ban.

As a side note: Lil Yara Roots used to pick up discarded cigarette butts and hold them up to her mouth and say "Cigaree"
"Cigaree". Now I ask you, does anyone want this to happen to their kids? Let's get those cigarettes out of here, and let's clean up the butts while we're at it!
